How to buy Smart Hands in Switzerland

A short brief for the people who write the ticket — not a brochure. Use it with any vendor, including us.

1. Put the facility on the access list first

Swiss colo will not debate this at the door. Name, passport or ID type, arrival window, and escort rule must exist before the engineer travels. If your Smart Hands partner cannot tell you what the site needs, they have not done Zurich work.

2. Write a MOP a stranger can follow

Serial numbers, rack units, which PDU, which loop, who is on the bridge. Remote Hands fails when the NOC assumes the floor already knows the cabinet story.

3. Separate Zurich time from alpine time

A four-hour metro SLA in Zürich is not a four-hour SLA in the Valais. Price and promise the corridor you actually have. Simaks publishes Zurich and Geneva as metros for that reason.

4. Language is part of access

A German reception desk and an English NOC is normal. Say which language the report must use. See also the German Smart Hands page.

5. Data

Photos of a rack can include asset tags and sometimes faces. Say what you want stored, for how long, and under nFADP / UK GDPR. Our privacy notice is the Simaks version of that answer.
